The history of the hotel dates back to 1641

It was already an important reference for travellers and tourists at the beginning of the 1900s.

Between 1914 and 1916 while the famous Val Gardena railway was being built the Austrian Officers often came to eat and enjoy themselves at the hotel’s Tyrolese style ‘stube’.

In the 1950s the Uridl started welcoming the first skiers who were beginning to take part in this new sport but the guests were above all in summer when tourists were attracted by the rocky peaks of the Dolomites.
